Between The Buttons

LK 4852 /SKL4852

Issued in UK on January 29th 1967. This one exists in both Mono and Stereo versions.

The fifth DECCA UK album did not sell as much as previous albums. Buttons is from a collectors point of view not a very exiting LP as there are not many differences existing. The only variations to look for would be on the labels.

The catalogue number is in smaller font compared to the previous label. The dot in between SKL and 4852 is also missing. This label has been used on both grooved and non grooved pressings. This has to be an very early J/T label as the tax code offically changed from K/T to J/T in the end of November 1968 and the pressing tools for making nongrooved LP’s was taken into use in the end of the summer or early autumn 1968. We have not yet been able to confirm exact time of change. This means that this grooved J/T has been made months before the actuall official tax code changed.
